The first few times you remove your menstrual disc, it may feel a little unfamiliar, but with a little practice, it becomes a natural routine.

1. Relax and find a comfortable position

Your pelvic muscles naturally hold the disc in place, so it will be much easier to remove if you relax. Try one of these positions to reduce tension:

  • Sit on the toilet
  • Squat with knees apart
  • Stand with one leg raised on the toilet

2. Find the disk

Insert a clean finger and feel for the small handle. Elskbar The disc is designed with an innovative handle that makes it easier to grab and remove.

3. Remove it slowly and carefully

Carefully pull out the disc and hold it as horizontal as possible to minimize spillage. If you’re new to using a menstrual disc and worried about spills, try removing it in the shower – it’s the perfect place to practice.

4. Drain and rinse

Once you’ve removed the disc, empty the contents of the toilet and rinse it first with cold water – this will help prevent discoloration. During your period, a simple rinse with water is usually sufficient before you put it back in. If necessary, you can use a mild, fragrance-free soap, but this is not necessary after each use.
